Fleetingly for a minute, the iPhone software now appears to be available:

• iPhone1,1 (Original)
• iPhone1,2 (3G)
• iPhone2,1 (3GS)

The iPod firmware images are also available, but with a protected:: URL, whatever that means. I assume it's a HTTP behind the covers too ...
